Handmade Knives
Handmade knives and cutlery are my true love and root of my craft. I make one of a kind hand forged and stock removal blades through my Moran lineage including utility, spear point, bowie, fighter, and dagger style blades. I am passionate about cooking and I am an outdoor aficionado. I strive to create the most beautiful and functional blades for chefs, camping and outdoors, and for anyone seeking a custom one of a kind blade.
Restoration
Restoration projects are one of my greatest joys of this work. My motto is “There is always beauty just below the surface.” Tools and blades of long ago that have been passed down from generations can be brought back to life in the right hands. I love bringing family heirlooms and sentimental pieces back to life.
Leatherworking
Leatherworking is another incredible facet of this work when it comes to knife making. I handcraft all my leather sheaths custom to fit each blade. Each sheath is unique as they are not only made to fit each knife, but specifically for each client whether they are right or left handed. Leatherworking doesn’t stop at sheaths, I make quivers, masks, belts and other beautiful decorative pieces.
Wood Stabilization
Wood stabilization is an art all in itself and is growing in popularity in the world of knife making. Various natural materials and softer woods can be sealed and cured with epoxy in this process. I source a variety of local wood and materials and create my own handle materials, this truly makes my knives one of a kind.
The sky is the limit!

SUSTAINABILITY
Windhorse Forge believes in reusing, renewing, and recycling materials for the environment and for a sustainable future.
- Reuse: I source and use recycled steel and salvaged tool heads from metal recycling yards. I am mindful of sourcing wood that has been milled in ethical ways. I source salvaged local wood whenever possible.
- Renew: I restore knives, tools, and heirlooms to their new and usable state again. I believe this is the source of sustainability. No tool or blade shall be left behind!
- Recycle: I recycle everything in my course of business and buy consumables and products with that in mind. The materials that I package my knives with is Eco-friendly and fully reusable and recyclable.
